Top of the shops
This month store manager Mel Fox lets us in on the natural delights available at London’s Luscious Organic on Kensington High Street.
Who comes into the store? All sorts of people! We get the Kensington folk who live around here, as well as plenty of people who come in for our smoothies and stews for lunch.
Are consumers now coming round to the fact that ‘organic’ is naturally healthier? The organic concept is definitely more widely understood these days, although you still meet the odd person who believes that anything that’s alive is naturally organic. They don’t realise how pesticides in non-organic food can affect the body.
What are your best-sellers? Well, looking over at the counter we’re certainly running out of our Ruby Red Lavender Organic Bath Soak! The Ruby Red range is very simple, the scents are fantastic, and the lovely packaging helps set it apart from other products.
What would be your dream addition to the shop? I’d love to install a bigger kitchen so we could do a bigger range of healthy food.
You can visit Mel’s gorgeous store at 240 Kensington High Street, London.
Coming soon
This September we’ll be back at London Olympia for the rather exciting Top Drawer Autumn 08 show . It’s retailers only – so if you’re a buyer looking for gorgeous organic gifts we’d love to meet you there. Or, you could pick up the phone right now and have a chat with Martine .
Where can you find Ruby Red
You can find our gorgeous Ruby Red products in-store, at a market near you, at lots of great events and on the web. If you can’t find our products near you let us know and we will do our best to find a suitable venue for our great range.
Regular events
We love meeting up with everybody at the markets and thanks for all your great support and feedback.
Every Saturday we are at Cabbages and Frocks market in Marylebone.
Most Sundays you can find us at the Farmers Market in Alexandra Palace in Muswell Hill. The views of London are fantastic up there!
Our market locations are growing all the time and that means we need some shiny, happy people to add to our Weekend Market Sales Team. Check out Ruby Red’s jobs page if you’d like to join us.
Dates for your Diary
As our summer social calendar winds down, come and see us and enjoy the last of the sunshine.
SEPTEMBER – Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th at The Mayor’s Thames Festival – a spectacular, free celebration of London and its river. Taking place between Westminster Bridge and Tower Bridge, the festival brings Londoners together in the very heart of the capital to eat, drink, be merry and of course to buy lots of Ruby Red.
Let us know if you’re attending by RSVP-ing to the event on our Facebook page.
